You are not Separate ... a practice in clear-seeing

The transformative power of gratitude and repentance.

Overview: In order to truly embrace our authentic selves, it is essential to wake up to our core existential fear and sense of separation from the larger universe, God’s love. Our physical body plays a critical role in this process of awakening and reconnecting to that unified field. To better align with our authentic life force, we must let go of past traumas, outdated survival mechanisms, and any feelings of victimhood and instead take responsibility for our own reality.

It is true that we have been shaped by circumstances, experiences, and people that, through help or hurt, have contributed to who we are today. Yet our freedom lies in taking 100% responsibility for our responses to those circumstances and for what is showing up in our lives because of our choices and our primitive yet intelligent survival reflexes. To do this, we must cultivate self-compassion and release internal somatic patterns of shame and self-blame.

The clear-seeing repentance practice is courageous work. It requires us to turn toward ourselves with sincere honesty and identify the places where we may have harmed others (or ourselves), intentionally or unintentionally. In this practice, we admit our wrongs, release all blame, and sincerely repent. As always, we will do this practice from a place of curiosity, wonder, and sovereignty without taking on the old yoke of shame or self-loathing.

To see clearly is:

  1. To honestly review one’s actions, to feel and express contrition for past wrongs, accompanied by a deep commitment to actions that show and prove a change for the better.

  2. To recognize and admit how one’s actions hurt others and/or oneself - even if those actions were unintentional, unconscious, or arose out of pure survival instincts.

  3. Acknowledge, feel, and express sincere remorse about one's actions that caused harm or confusion to oneself or others.

In doing so, we move out of blame and into sovereignty, restoring the equilibrium of our true inner nature. We have a choice. When we admit our wrongs, release all blame, and repent sincerely, the inner emotional toxins begin to empty out of our physical body, and our somatic patterns soften and release.

As we take radical responsibility, we become increasingly free from what has blocked our truest expression. We naturally become more authentic, dissolve our sense of separation, and open to the unified nature of who we really are. Our relationships heal. Our bodies and our hearts heal, and our Divine inner nature, which is ever present, naturally begins to shine forth.

Locked-up and, or erupting emotions are the cause of disease, disconnection, exhaustion, isolation, and chronic invisibility patterns. These emotions arise directly from relationships with others because there are things that we have never fully acknowledged, expressed, or taken responsibility for. They are often at the deep root of our embodied patterns of limitation.

We can use emotions like a compass to help us locate and gain access to what we have not yet acknowledged, felt, or owned.
